Oh! um, you turn switch #1 on for a little while and turn it off afterward. Then.. turn on switch #2 and run upstairs to see which light is on. The light that is on is switch #2, the light that is warm is switch #1 and the final light is for switch #3.

A man lives in a seventeen-story apartment building. This particular building is very empty, and he rarely ever sees other people in the halls or in the elevator. Everyday, he takes the elevator down to the ground floor and goes to work. Once he finishes with work each day, he returns to his building. If it happens to be sunny outside, he will always take the elevator to the tenth floor, and then he will take the stairs back up to his apartment on the seventeenth. But if it is raining, he will take the elevator all the way to the seventeenth floor. How come?

My teacher asked us this. And I got the answer.

It's simple. He is short. And can't reach 17. When it rains, you carry an umbrella. He can use the Umbrella to hit 17. But when it's sunny and theirs no umbrella, he can't reach it.

Here's a riddle. You're in a room, with chalk boards on all sides, 1 mile thick each. All you have is a piece of chalk, 1 foot across. How do you escape?
